My first batch of home grown beans. I got the seeds from a friend who got them from her neighbors. Who knows how many generations they have been planted. They come out of the pod brilliant violet and magenta that turns to browns and mauves as they dry. They will be going into my soups this winter, with some saved for planting next spring.
