I had decided to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania for my 50th birthday, and that meant that a safari in the Serengeti an absolute must. I have a whole notebook full of notes of what animals, rhinos, lions, flamingoes and ostriches we saw. This is a Kori bustard, the worlds heaviest flying bird. It has striking amber gold eyes, and looked skeptically at us as it went by.
In two photos I am in a Tanzania size L sweater. I usually wear US M -X Tall or EU L -X Tall. The sweater is pre machine washed and may slightly shrink in length with repeated machine washing (wool cycle) so the sleeves and length are generously long.
Chunky knit and completely reversible, switch sides according to your mood for the day. I knit this with a combination of local grown Latvian wool, kid mohair, cotton and silk. All the colors are hand blended during the knitting process. I hand sew the seams using scrap ends from my other sweaters leaving knot ends as a boho touch. Its part of my zero waste attempt. This sweater is PREWASHED on a wool cycle and then lay flat to dry, so go ahead and do the same.
