I finally saw the Northern lights. I was getting a ride home after meeting friends, and we couldn't figure out if the orange streaks in the sky were from a town or rock concert. Then they turned green and we pulled over and realized it was the northern lights. I jumped out of the car and walked the last 2 kilometers. Pink and violet and green streaks everywhere. When I took photos, my phone automatically did 2 second exposures, and WOW, just WOW!!! The colors were so intense I walked the rest of the way filming, photographing and looking through my phone. 

I didn't sleep much that night, I kept going outside to take more photos. I just could not wait to start knitting.
