SOLD - Birch Bark - scalloped hem sweater dress - OS
This is the dress I put on over my pajamas every single morning as I have my coffee and breakfast. I live in the countryside, and I often end up staying in my scallop hem dress all morning until I dress to go outdoors skiing or gardening. The nice thing about this style is that I can run outside for a delivery or to chat with the neighbor and I actually look decent. I have worn and washed (on a wool cycle) my dress for 4 years and it's still looking good. The pockets are always in use.
This is completely reversible for not two, but four different looks. All seams are hand sewn with contrast threads, so you can wear either the purl or knit side out. I also hand crochet a flirty edge at the sleeve cuffs and at the hem for that hand made with lots of love feeling. I knit this with local grown Latvian and Estonian wool that is washed with spring fed pond water instead of chemicals, and dyed with mineral dyes to be as environmentally friendly as possible. I added two strands of kid mohair for warm fuzzy softness, and a few silk and cotton threads for pizazz.
I wash each dress on a wool/silk cycle and lay it flat on a towel to dry. You can continue to do that, so It is super easy to care for.
