I rode my bike a lot when I lived in Rīga just to get out of town and into the woods. In the beginning I had to buy maps and count fire roads to figure out where I was. When iPhones got GPS I was in heaven. I could find my way around without needing wifi, and I could actually figure out where I was on the paper map.

I started going further and further, and one day I stumbled across a teensy birch grove in the middle of a pine forest. It was my secret spot that I always went to for lunch. I made a video with this view, of wind blowing, trees swaying and golden birch leaves falling like rain.
