I bought a homestead that noone had lived in for quite a few years. It was overgrown with trees and shrubs. I spent a few winters sawing hacking away at it to make a meadow. I am surprised when suddenly tulips or crocuses pop up in odd places. Obviously survivors from some long ago flower garden.
