This is the forest across the lake where the Tirza river starts a 20 minute hike from my house through the woods. An abandoned homestead is on one side, and I know that I can go there to pick black currants for liqueur that I make. This year beavers felled a few of the ancient apple trees, and I picked as many apples as I could from the trees laying on the ground. So sad to see that, but nature knows what it is doing, and it all goes in circles.
