I was asked to help out at a summer camp where the older kids would go on an overnight hike. The day promised thunderstorms, but we went anyway. We crossed fields, marshes and forests. The dark rainclouds were everywhere, but not overhead. We got lucky that way, and the kids were amazing. No complaints and absolute joy at the adventure of it all. I was ankle deep in a watery marsh when I took this photo. The wind was intense, and you could see that someone was getting drenched, but luckily not us, not yet.
