Summer Storm - trapeze dress - OS
I sewed a few linen dresses with fabric scraps I got in Lithuania, and decided the style would be just wonderful in a knit dress. This is the same chunky warm blend I use in my sweaters. A perfect trapeze with a square neckline and pockets on the sides.
This is reversible, wear either side in front. I knit this with local grown Latvian and Estonian wool that is washed with spring fed pond water instead of chemicals, and dyed with mineral dyes to be as environmentally friendly as possible. I added two strands of kid mohair for warm fuzzy softness, and a few silk and cotton threads for pizazz.
I wash each dress on a wool/silk cycle and lay it flat on a towel to dry. You can continue to do that, so It is super easy to care for.
I'm in the photos by the woodshed and petite size S Anita is wearing the exact same dress. I am super tall, and Anita just about comes up to my shoulder, so you can see how this dress fits two completely different sized women.
