SOLD - Sunlight - scalloped hem sweater dress - OS
I hate being cold in my house, and I love wearing dresses. My home in the countryside is heated with wood that needs to be split, stacked, brought indoors, along with wood pellets that come 15 kilo bags (33 lb.) that I have to bring into the house with a wheelbarrow. Its a lot of hard physical work to keep my home warm, and its so much easier to just put on a warm fuzzy sweater. Did I mention pockets?
This is completely reversible for not two, but four different looks. All seams are hand sewn with contrast threads, so you can wear either the purl or knit side out. I also hand crochet a flirty edge at the sleeve cuffs and at the hem for that hand made with lots of love feeling. I knit this with local grown Latvian and Estonian wool that is washed with spring fed pond water instead of chemicals, and dyed with mineral dyes to be as environmentally friendly as possible. I added two strands of kid mohair for warm fuzzy softness, and a few silk and cotton threads for pizazz.
I wash each dress on a wool/silk cycle and lay it flat on a towel to dry. You can continue to do that, so It is super easy to care for.
