Tree Bark - Boiled Wool Hoodie XL
A friend gave me some wooden buttons that he made, and I was looking for a way to use them. So I designed the perfect vehicle, a boiled wool hoodie jacket for autumn and winter, with deep pockets and a coat hook for hanging. Knit with wool, silk and cotton, and then washed on a cotton cycle at 60 degrees Celsius, that's 140 Fahrenheit, so not quite boiling but plenty hot. The wool shrinks and felts making this wind proof. Water sheds off, but even when wet wool is still warm. Easy to care for, just toss it in the washer and dryer.
I made the sleeves long so that you have to fold a cuff, but if you forgot your gloves you can cover your hand and the buttons can be moved to add 3cm (1.25").
Size XL
