My apple tree is old, and mostly has long horizontal branches that need to be propped up to carry the weight of the apples. Its splitting in two, and I know it won't be around forever. This year there were a lot of apple, with no bugs or worms in them. A bit unsettling since organic usually means a worm or two somewhere. I picked boxes of apples and am waiting for winter to eat them since they are winter apples, and only ripen after being picked.
