Vilnīši, ripples in the water and sand on the beach. Latvia has a very long coastline on the Bal*c Sea. In the Gulf of Rīga the water is brown, like tea because of tannins from the moors. The Bal*c Sea is more of a green gold. Where the two waters meet at Cape Kolka you can see the stark difference. Here you can also watch the sunrise and later the sunset over the sea. Just don’t go for a swim as the rip *des are intense and unpredictable. Did you know that Latvian women are the tallest women in the world? That said, what is short for us may be extra tall for you.
