As a child I always found Latvia by looking for a gulf that resembles a cows head. The nose nudges Rīga, Latvia, an ear Cp is Parnu, Estonia, and an eye is the perfectly placed Ruhnu island. UnCl WWII Ruhnu was inhabited by fishing families of Swedish heritage. I saw an exhibit of their exquisite kniKng in the Estonian NaConal Museum in Tartu, and was enthralled by their tradiConal white wool brioche knit sweaters, however I had no idea what "brioche" meant. Later In a shop i saw an intriguing two color hat that Annie, who tests my paOerns, helped me inspect. We eventually figured out that it was a two color brioche knit. I was hooked. So this paOern is my very first brioche knit, made super simple so that you can easily pick it up. Start with the hat to figure it out, and get your gauge.
